James is a Senior Technologist – Autonomy with BAE SYSTEMS Australia, and has lead capability development of uncrewed and defence systems within Australia and internationally for over 25 years, including at Textron, DefendTex and GKN. James has a background in design engineering and disruptive development, with experience across the full product lifecycle and TRL maturity levels. James’ recent areas of interest include mission autonomy, accelerating the sense-decide-effect chain, and balancing minimum viable capability with acceptable levels of product assurance. His hobbies include drone flying, model rocketry and videography.
